Since 2012 several mixed use projects are being developed in Colombia, not only in Bogotá, but also in cities such as Medellín, Cali, Cartagena and Santa Marta. With investments above 2.5b USD these projects allow better soil utilisation maximizing every square meter used. It is one of the reasons why urban planners, investors and developers are looking with strong enthusiasm at the strengthening and growth of the mixed use market in the country. Key projects such as Bd Bacata, Atrio, Serena del Mar, Burano Towers and Oikos Infinitum represent the new bet on urban `all in one` spaces with a global flavor. However developing mixed projects involves very tedious decision making processes, and relies on thorough knowledge of a large multitude of regulations and legislations. Developers, designers, planners and EPCs are confronted with many complex questions and seek clear answers.
At the 2nd Colombia Mixed Use Round Table Conference taking place the 28th and 29th of November 2018, government officials, construction companies, real estate promoters, certification companies, architects, engineering firms, and international and national associations gather to cover topics such as new mixed use construction regulations, taxation, socio-economic dynamics, construction permits, planning and design strategies, and commercial pricing and market positioning. The roundtable will offer in-depth knowledge exchange and debate about thecurrent and future situation in the country.
